We have owned this refrigerator for about 4 years. Although we love the fridge we have already gad two major problems with it. About a year and a half ago the compressor went. We were without a fridge for 3 months. Again two weeks ago the same thing happened. We r hoping to get this resolved within 3 weeks. I asked that this time they have the compressor with them when the technician comes out. These problems make it difficult to give this fridge a good review.

I loved this fridge but this is the second one I have had that has failed catastrophically at the 3 to 4 year more. There simply isnt anyone to service them. I have been waiting 15 days now for LG service to find someone to make repairs. Fifteen days of keeping all my food in the small basement fridge or with friends.
I think the design is beautiful I loved the fridge while it worked but I cant in good conscience recommend it until LG improves their quality and service what they sell.

We love the style and functionality of the frig however after a few months I e was building up inside and needed repair. Fortunately warranty covered it. Recently though another service call for the same issue No warrant and extended 5 year service plan expired 10 months ago and it took over a month to find a LG repair person. It is fixed. Hope we dont need another repair in the near future.

Worked well for 5 years then known manufacturer defect occurred which we were not notified of. Came home from vacation with melted ice cream everywhere. Would have been nice if LG proactively addressed the issue before it occurred since it was known to them.

I bought this in November 2016. I loved its look and it was well designed space efficiently. It was working great until November 2018 when it stopped cooling/freezing. It was repaired but it stopped working again in January 2019. I contacted the LG Service Center and the compressor needed to be replaced.
Thereafter it has been working great until recently. In July 2022 the compressor was broken again and needed to be replaced. Fortunately the parts were covered by the warranty and the LG service was excellent.

I have had this refrigerator for close to 7 years but have had many issues with the majority of them coming in the first 2 - 3 years. Im now dealing with an issue that the refrigerator will not get down to the correct temperature. I have previously had issues with the ice maker freezing up ice building up inside the freezer and the wire located above the right door hinge that turns the freezer light on and off keeps breaking. I gave up on the freezer light and no longer have a light. Very frustrating and Ive had multiple repair men tell me to stay away from LG refrigerators. I love their televisions but this refrigerator has been a nightmare

Bought this refrigerator 3+ years ago. Just had compressor replaced under warranty. We love the look and the configuration of the refrigerator and freezer. Counter depth lets you easily see everything on every shelf. Freezer arrangement is very flexible for any size item. Ice maker capacity is a little small but takes up almost no space in the refrigerator.

Seems like they dont make refrigerators like they used to. In all fairness we love the look. We love the space. We actually build our kitchen cabinets around the fridge. We have own this LG refrigerator 8 years. We have heard each refrigerator brand and model have there unique issues. Our LG issues are freezer stoped working around year 3. We have ice build up 2 times a year. Year 7 our condenser stopped working. This month both the freezer and fridge fans had to be replaced. Our model had a case action lawsuit so we did receive a few hundred dollars back.
With all that we still like our refrigerator. LG customer service is great and the local authorised repairman are great. I have spend probably an additional five hundred on repairing this LG. Fingers crossed we get 8 more years.

I purchased this refrigerator back in 2016 and had encountered a few issues a few times with freezer being frozen up and one time with the fridge not being cold. LG did fix all the issues in a timely matter but thought it was a hassle to deal with the problems. I do like the features and the modern look of the fridge but thinking the quality needs improvement.

I have had this refrigerator and have had numerous non-cooling events. LG replaced the compressor which has helped but now I have leaks within the coils which are no longer under warranty and not covered.
The refrigerator design is good lots of space for a counter depth unit but when the fridge wont cool its irrelevant. The product is outside of warranty 7 years but has had to be repaired multiple times over its life.

My refrigerator stopped cooling or freezing on July 3 2022. It is now July 26 and LG has not honored their warranty to repair the unit. Currently they say a repairman will be here August 18 2022 - fully seven weeks since the unit failed.

I purchased this refrigerator after reading a lot of consumer reports etc. and found that the LG brand in general is very dependable and well priced. I expect all my appliances to last around 10 years as I take very good care and maintain them appropriately. When this appliance needed a new compressor after only 3 years of use I was very disappointed. Then LG sent me a 5 star technician to replace the compressor and now all is great again.

Counter depth is perfect for our kitchen and the LG French Door model does not disappoint. Although some feel a counter depth unit wont hold enough stuff we have found it to be just right. The freezer has three separate storage areas so its always easy to find what we are looking for.

I bought my LG fridge 2-1/2 years ago and was very happy with it. Shortly after it turned 2-1/2 years old the compressor died I live in an area where it is hard to get service and LG decided to give me a refund. Been 2 weeks since I started the process with LG and I still havent received my refund.

It has been over 5 years and the refrigerator works perfectly fine. There was a issue which caused it stop cooling but the LG service sent someone over to fix it and now its working as it once was in its new condition.

This fridge was just 3 years and 4 months old and died. It was thought that the compressor was bad. However somewhere in the fridge it lost all of its freon. It was going to be more expensive to repair than to buy a new one. Ugh thought this was a reputable brand and fridge. Not so much

We bought our frig in 2016 along with a full suite of LG products for the kitchen. Looks great never a problem until May 26th water leaking out of the front of the frig and running down every place. Sadly it took 46 days for LG to fix the issue after they finally replaced the compressor as I said from the beginning. The most frustrating experience we have every been thru. My ratings are for when we purchased the appliances

Good design with the ice maker which makes enough for everyday use but need to make ahead for any gatherings and bottom freezer having three compartments to organize items. Did not expect my compressor to stop working after 3 years while I was on vacation but greeted with a smell on entering my home. This was on a Thursday night called the next morning and got an appointment with their service person for Wednesday who promptly replaced the compressor and was very nice. The company does not supply a deodorizer for the smell that stays with the refrigerator so I will be reminded every time I open the door what happened. Maybe if I had registered the frig timely I may have been notified of the bad compressor.

Also the Ice and water dispenser is a terrible design. You cant get water with out it splahing the exterior of the outside SS which is very hard to clean without streaks.

I bought a french door LG refrigerator LFXC24726S in May 2017 at the local Home Depot store. We enjoyed of its great features excellent work but in September 2020 was repaired twice due to leakage and eventually stopped working due to absence of gas and the local appliance company and the LG customer service representative told us it is not repairable.

Owned it for the last 3 1/2 years then it just stopped cooling. First repair replaced both the compressor known issues and evaporator. Unfortunately that didnt fix it. Then it took weeks to get another repair person out who replaced the condensor. After 3 weeks its finally working again. You would expect better then 3 1/2 years for a durable good like this appliance. When working I love the unit its counter depth display in door dispenser adjustable shelves etc. But it needs to be reliable and if it goes out again that will be it for buying an LG fridge.

Our 5 year old LG refrigerator just blew its second compressor followed by a leak in the water dispenser that caused floor damage and required an insurance claim. I have since learned that these are not uncommon problems with LG refrigerators. Beware

We purchased this refrigerator loving the look and its options in 2017. In 2022 we had to replace the compressor as the entire thing went warm right after the warranty expired. We still consider it a great purchase.

Within the first year of owning the refrigerator we had three service calls and continued to have fluctuating temperatures. Now seven years later with the compressor being still under warranty the refrigerator wont cool at all. LG cannot find anyone to fix it. They said I can try to find someone. No one will touch it. One repair company said they get 3-4 calls a day from people having LG cooling issues. If you want a reliable refrigerator that will last more than 7 years do not by LG. Great looking product but it wont last long and is disposable when no one can fix it.

We were told by the sales lady that this was the most popular refrigerator among the employees at Pieratts in Lexington. The linear compressor went out in the first year but was still under warrantee. This is now the third time the refrigerator has frosted up and we have had to empty everything to manually defrost it. The last time a month ago the area under the crispers developed ice. Now we have ice again. Im finding online that this is a common problem because the drain tube behind the back panel either freezes or gets plugged. We have had to replace three crisper drawers either because various parts break the front comes loose or rollers break off. Presently another one has a roller broken off in the back. While unscrewing the back panel last night to get to the drain tube I discovered that one of the screw holes is broken so that the screw is holding nothing. In 48 years of marriage we have never had these kind of issues. We are not hard on equipment. This refrigerator is garbage IMO. LG cannot ever sell me anything.

I bought an LG French door counter depth fridge when we remodeled our kitchen three years ago and the thing died completely overnight three weeks ago. I had to toss out hundreds of dollars worth of food. I will say LG customer service was wonderful and the compressor was under warranty but it was nearly 2 weeks before an LG repairman could get here. We actually bought a dorm fridge to tide us over.

I bought this model of the LG Refrigerator about 6 years ago. The water dispenser and ice maker began acting up and freezing. This caused the ice maker to stop working and the water to randomly shoot out without anyone touching it. Had 3 different companies come out to fix but they failed. Eventually contacted LG directly they ordered a new ice maker assembly installed it and since then it has worked like a charm. We have always liked this refrigerator/freezer unit and its now working like it did the day we bought it. Nice unit just make sure you get a service company that understands how to work on the LG brand.
